Tour of the Tombstones
Friends of Bohemian National Cemetery, Chicago, Illinois, invites you to attend our walking tours of the cemetery which are held in Spring and Fall.
Our next walking tour will be in Sunday, October 6th. Details on time will be posted as they become available. . The "Tours of the Tombstones" are led by professional guide, Albert Walavich.
Bohemian National Cemetery is on the National Register of Historic Places. It features historic buildings, magnificent mausoleums and monuments, statuary by renowned artists, and an astonishing variety of gravestone artistry.
The cemetery covers over 120 acres of land so tours may cover different areas. While the walking tours are always different, they run 1 to 2 miles in length on asphalt, grass, and gravel. Men’s and women’s facilities are available in the gatehouse.
Pre-registration is not required; just meet us in the gatehouse at the entrance, 5255 N. Pulaski. See below for directions.
Cost for members is $10 and for non-members $15, and includes refreshments in the historic gatehouse after the tour. For more information contact us at info@friendsofbnc.org
The cemetery is located near Northeastern Illinois University and near the corner of Foster and Pulaski. It can be reached by bus on either street and is close to both I 90 and Edens expressways. See the link below for directions.
